AFU 96 Elite make Final 4 at Disney Junior Showcase
96 Elite lost 0-1 in the semi-final to East Lake Arsenal (Florida State Champs) after going undefeated in group play. AFU advanced to the semi-final by beating Birmingham United (Alabama State Champs) 5-1, West Pines United (#2 in Florida) 4-2, and getting a 0-0 tie against Baltimore Bays (#2 in Maryland).

AFU 99 Gold West Wins CESA Classic Championship
AFU U11 girls capped off a great fall season by winning the top U12 Bracket at the CESA Fall Classic Tournament in Greenville, SC.

AFU 96 Elite repeat as WAGS Champions
AFU 96 Elite won the WAGS tournament championship for the 2nd straight year. The Fire girls posted a record of 4 wins, 0 losses and 1 tie. They scored 12 goals, gave away 0 and beat the #1 team in Region 3 by a score of 3-0 in the Cup flight final.
AFU 99 Gold East repeat as AFU Tournament Champions
The AFU 99 Gold east team won the AFU tournament for the 2nd consecutive year. The team went undefeated in the tournament. Congratulations on a great weekend.

AFU 96 Elite wins Atlanta Cup
The U14 girls from AFU defeated ASA 6-3 in the final to stay undefeated on the weekend and win their 3rd Atlanta Cup Championship. AFU led all teams in goals scored by putting 22 balls in the back of the net in just 5 games.

AFU 99 Gold East and West to Play for Championship at NASA Classic
The two U11 teams from AFU won thier respective brackets to advance to the Championship game in the top division of the NASA Classic tournament. The game was postponed by inclement weather and will be played September 15 at Scott Hudgens Park on Field #3.

AFU 96 Elite Wins State Championship
AFU 96 Elite beat 2nd ranked and undefeated Tophat 2-0 Sunday to capture the GYSA girls U13 state championship.
The win capped off an incredibly successful year as the Fire finished with Tournament titles in the Atlanta Cup, WAGS, Cobb Classic, and State Cup. They also won the Fall Athena A championship and finished a close 2nd in the spring league, despite being undefeated.
Look for AFU at the Atlanta Cup, WAGS, and Disney Tournaments this fall.
